The New First Three Years of Life

by Dr. Burton L. White

This is one of my two favorite baby guidebooks (and the gift I usually give to all new parents).

I read most of the popular baby guide books out there — and this one most clearly outlines parenting practices for the baby 1 month – 3 years old. The premise is that there are different things to do, at various stages in the baby’s life, that will affect whether at age 3, you have a happy, independent, well-developed child on your hands. None of my parenting strategies are original. I totally plagiarized them from the experts. This was my bible for both kids. And while I’m not trying to toot my own horn, you should see the ridiculously happy, independent, and well-developed playdoh creations they made at 2 years, 11 months.

If you only have time to read one "How to Raise My Baby" books, I say this should be the one.
